Sweet!! Get a cute new beach bag from Pick Your Plum for only 6.99!! I bought 2!

Since I haven’t posted anything for the past month, I decided to round up the few times I remember to snap a picture. These were the favorites. I did get dressed everyday, don’t worry…

Purple lace top from Gordman’s, white shirt from DownEast, Gray skirt from American Eagle, Brown purse from Target, I think, purple fishnet tights from Target, and brown boots from Totsy. Earrings that you can’t really see are from Pick Your Plum.

Pink tank top from Target, White shirt from somewhere? Maybe Walmart? Bead necklace can’t remember, Owl necklace from Amazon, funky turquoise necklace from Target, skinny pants from my SIL, and brown boots from Totsy (I love them!)

Pink scarf made like I showed you here, black shirt from Kohl’s, pink under shirt made, Straight leg jeans from Aeropostale, Teva flip flops from Amazon for my birthday. I love them!!

So there are some favorites.We’ll see if I do any better in April?

Mustard Pants!!!

Okay, I’ve been talking about how I want some mustard pants for awhile now. Well, my cute SIL and sister decided to get me an early birthday present and bought me some awesome pants!! Woohoo! So, I might have worn them already 3 times (in 5 days) but really who’s keeping track? First day I kept it easy.

This is just my black awesome sweater from Miya Designs. I’ve waxed poetic about them. I’ll continue to. I think I need to go shopping again there…Plus, some black slippers. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon

Nice boob shot. I kinda forgot till bedtime to take a picture. This scarf was from my cute friend Rhonda. I just wore a white long sleeve burnout tee from Pick Your Plum. That’s someplace that gets too much of my money

The pants look orange here, but I promise, they are the same mustard ones. I wore them today with a white lace shirt I made, a DownEast tee under that, a Pick Your Plum cardigan (see I told you!), and zebra print ballet flats from Target ($4!) Plus, you can’t see them, but I wore these earrings, also from Pick Your Plum. *sigh* I wonder if my hubby realizes how much they stock my fashion/crafting addiction? Anyway, there’s my new lovely pants! Thanks girls! I love them!!

Okay today I don’t have an outfit so much to show you, but more accessories. I heart accessories. A girl can never have too many, right? Once upon a time, I got lots of crazy jewelry from my aunt. She found it at a yard sale. Bags and bags of clip on earrings, brooches, necklaces, you name it.

Well, I looked through that stash the other day, and found some stuff I thought was awesome, but not as is.

Look at those yellow earrings. Aren’t they fantastic? I decided to take them off their clip on back and put them on “real” earrings. Done. New piece of jewelry. See the pearl cluster and the purple leaf-y thing? Those were earrings. Missing their mates. They’re huge too, so that seems a little weird on someone’s ears. So the pearls became a ring glued onto a ring blank,  and the purple leaf thing became a brooch with a brooch pin glued on the back. Easy peasy. By the way, for some jewelry, I’ll use my hot glue gun. For others, I’ll use E-6000 glue. See that turquoise rectangle? It was a cuff link. I  don’t need those, and my husband doesn’t have any cuff shirts, so I broke off the cuff part and glued it onto a ring blank. (which was actually an old, flat ring that I got ears ago in the 25 cent machine). Finally, the arrow necklace was on a piece of black wire type stuff, which was all bent out of shape, so I took it off that and put it on a chain.

There you can see the backs of the rings. I love getting new jewelry, for free!! Oh, and the brooches that I’ve found, you can pin those onto a few necklaces and get a look like this:

Yay! Downton Abbey!! Hopefully I’ll finish the season finale today!! Maybe while refashioning some more jewelry… Have a good one!

Okay, I have 2 sick kids. So I have been rather lazy….But you want to see what I wore to church last week?

I wore my new fishnet tights that I love, and my $7 Steven Madden heels, and sadly, as I was leaving church, I caught them. Sniffle. But, I saw this deal on my email and had to share!!

Cute midi skirts and long cardigans! for only 9.99! At Pick Your Plum! The skirts are in black & white stripe, coral, gray, and navy. The cardigans are in pale coral, mint, black, and gray. Buying me a couple right now! Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Easy Scarf with What I Wore

Top: Black and White Refashion Shirt, Scarf: handmade, Pants: Target, Purse: handmade by my Sister-in-law, Red Bracelets: ??? Can’t remember it’s been 7 years…. Red Shoes: American Eagle, purchased from DI

And for my fun part, Red Sunglasses from Amazon, Coat from Wal-Mart.

So that scarf? I decided when I was getting dressed I needed a red scarf. Wanna know how easy that is to make?

Cut a piece of fabric 5-6” strips, and sew the strips together to get around 90”-120” in length. If it’s knit, that’s it, if it’s gonna fray, finish the edges. Sew down the middle with elastic for shirring it. Then, sew right next to that line again.

Want a great tip? With a scarf, you don’t want the elastic coming through, and you don’t want to keep adjusting your scarf to hide the white. So, color it with a matching sharpie! Voila!

Okay, so this past week I had 2 outfits that I liked how they turned out….

This is the black sweater I got from Miya Designs last year and LOVE it. Pink pants from Aeropostale on sale a couple weeks ago. Pink moon-looking boots from Forever Young Shoes a couple years ago. Pink purse from the DI last year. Ruffle scarf from Pick Your Plum last year, and lacey boot cuffs I made last month.

Yellow cardigan from Chadwick's a few years ago on clearance, gray ruffle shirt from DI, brown tank from DownEast Basics, brown purse from Target years ago, bracelets from Target (I think) years ago, clock necklace from Shabby Apple, skinny jeans from my sis-in-law that just had the cutest baby I get to see this weekend!!! and riding boots from my aunt.

I cropped off my face cuz I was making weird faces in both pictures. Meh.

Wednesday Wackiness

So this is an idea I’m trying out, but I may not even like it. Or you won’t. So we’ll see if this lasts. Mkay? I thought some Wednesdays, I’d highlight a favorite thing I wore this week. Just for fun. I don’t have any rules like Nat’s thing, but it’ll just be stuff. Mostly clearance, some stuff I’ve made, or thrifted, but mostly just whatever. It won’t be Sundays, it’ll be whatever day I liked the outfit best…I’ve been uber busy the last few days with a crazy project that hopefully will be finished tomorrow. We’ll see….Then you’ll see that. It’s pretty awesome if it turns out like it looks in my head. Anyway, onto the awkward self portrait.

So this is after church, with a cold, but whatever. Favorite thing? My new iPhone 5. Besides that? The pink polka dot case. Okay, what I wore. That purple lace top. I got it from Gordman’s on New Year’s Eve after my friend wore a red one and I asked her where she got it. Then I went and bought it in purple. Justification? I NEEDED a purple shirt. That’s all I used to wear, but I phased it out to where I don’t have a single purple top. Crazy. Anyway, the rest of the outfit is a white shirt from DownEast, silver sparkle earrings from Target (years ago), skirt is from Dillards (clearance, of course), black hooker boots are from DI (years ago for a Halloween costume), the tie clutch I made (which actually got tons of comments at church that day), and the bracelets are from Charlotte Russe. Oh, I’m also wearing purple fishnet tights from Target (clearance), but sadly you can’t see them. Hopefully I’ll get better at pictures with my fancy phone?! Hee hee.
