March Fab Five

Since Valentine’s is over, here’s some inspiration to get you thinking about what’s coming up next….

I pinned this forever ago from Zulily. Really the reason I pinned it was because it’s name is Clovis. Nat understands.

I thought this mantel was sweet from A Little Tipsy.

My SIL does a tradition with her family where a leprechaun causes a ton of mischief. Think Elf on the Shelf for St. Patty’s. This cracks me up from a Differentiated Kindergarten.

Really, I love St. Patrick’s day, and the food and silliness that is the holiday. I have a board here that has more ideas, kid crafts, printables, and food ideas if you want to go check it out. I think it should be easy to decorate for, since Emerald is the Pantone color of the year too….

Onto Easter, since that is coming right on the heels of St. Patrick’s.

Love how Chocolate on My Cranium has this countdown to Easter to remember we’re celebrating Christ, not the Easter bunny.

In my hubby’s family, Easter egg decorating is a REALLY big deal. They are all really artsy, and creative, so their eggs are literally works of art. Then they roll them down a hill to see which ones last the longest. So I have a lot of egg decorating ideas on my Easter Board.

How about a cute Easter manicure from Holiday Snob?

I may try to make this this year. Then again, maybe not. But this egg garland from Craft Endeavor is pretty awesome.

This is awesome. But alas, it links to a private blog, so just admire it mkay?

So there’s more ideas, specifically printables, egg filling ideas, basket decorating, etc. We’ll be sharing some of our own over the next few weeks. Have a great weekend!

Christmas Inspiration

We had a lot of craziness last week, and I’m finally sitting around figuring out what to do for Christmas stuff. I’m finished with my shopping, minus 1 gift, and almost done wrapping everything, so I want to focus on enjoying time with my kiddos this December and making memories. Mushy, huh? But I sat down and looked through my gift ideas and Christmas board to give you some inspiration if you’re needing some!

Tatertots and Jello has a round up of some DIY gifts. Head over and get inspired!

Since the last gift I’m trying to locate is for the hubby, here’s a round up from Tip Junkie with men’s gift ideas. Plus an overwhelming list of Homemade Toys Ideas.

This page has a TON of Christmas Tree ideas. Some really fun ones!

I’d love to see some of your ideas of Christmas décor and/or gift ideas. Leave me a comment with a link so I can come check it out. Happy Monday!

Advent Ideas!

Okay, this is what’s on my mind, so that’s what I’m sharing today. My mom and I were shopping at a boutique and came across some cute little elves. For $2. So we bought one and I’m doing the Elf on the Shelf tradition for the first time with my kids. I think they’ll love it! I first found this because I don’t have the book, (though I did borrow it from the library) and really like how she explains the elf, Santa, and Jesus.

I just finished typing up my letter! Then, I’ll wrap it all up to be delivered tomorrow! Over at A Small Snippet

Do you want more Elf on the Shelf ideas? I’ve rounded up a few. I’ll just give you the links:

Over at I Heart Nap Time she did an advent calendar and gives 25 ideas of service to do with your family.

Over at Crap I’ve Made gives a huge list of ideas for advent calendars.

Here’s my advent calendar from last year that I need to pull out and go through and update.

This is one I’m trying to get ready before Saturday. You wrap up 25 different Christmas books and your kids get to open 1 a day. I’m throwing in a few holiday movies too. Fun!

Good luck getting your things ready for tomorrow!!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane…

I have been super busy this weekend/week, and feeling a bit of a cold coming on, so apologies I didn’t get this up sooner. This is kind of a random mish-mash of stuff post. I wanted to have a project done, but it’s not and I know I won’t finish it for this Halloween, so here’s some other stuff, mkay?

Okay, when I went on Pinterest to find some links to things for this, I clicked on this and read the post. Oh my heck. I was laughing. If you want a laugh, go on over!

Here’s some great couples costume ideas over at Shrimp Salad Circus.

Awesome duct tape boots. Sweet. Over at Brown Paper Packages.

Pretty sure if you haven’t decorated yet, this will inspire you! I love the Disney villain one. over at Fox Hollow Cottage

Halloween Fab 5 Friday!

5, give or take a few…dozen? These are all things I’ve pinned that I pretty much and inspire me with decorating. Hope they inspire you too!

I seriously adore Lara at Less Cake More Frosting. This one of the first things I discovered from her, and I’ve been a follower ever since. LOVE her. Love this black and white Halloween décor.

I love how she incorporates purple and green into her Halloween décor. This is a pretty simple idea but makes for a fun overall look. This one is over at Makoodle.

There are almost no words. This was a girl’s night out. Seriously, I’d LOVE to go to a party like this. I pretty much covet that candelabra. This is over at Celebrations at Home.

This page has TONS of ideas, even if you just want to decorate more fall-like. How fun is this tablescape? Basically a bunch of glass vases and apothecary jars. Probably not safe at my house with little ‘uns. This is over at Fresh home

This fun tablescape is from Lil' Luna via Eighteen 25, and I think the pops of orange are lots of fun!

I know I showed this before, but it’s still awesome. Over at Candice Stringham Photography

This is a very fun, fall, festive porch décor. Makes me wish I could do a little more for my porch/front door/back door. Go check it out at Josie Jones & Co.

K I want to go to these parties people have with awesome tables. Makes me want to do something awesome like that. This one is from Bubblegum and Duct Tape

I really like the simplicity and vintage feel of this mantel. This is part of 24 fall mantel ideas at Blogs Babble.

This here is from the Corner House Blog. I love what she did with the whole look of the mantel that’s not a mantel. Nice.

Seriously, I hardly scratched the surface of what I’ve pinned, much less the awesomeness that’s out there. If you want more inspiration, go check out the 190+pins on my Halloween board. What do you love? Do you have any Halloween awesome décor to send my way?

Fab 5 Friday

Hello! Have you entered the giveaway yet? It’ll be a great one to do with your kids!

Onto this week’s features.

Since my oldest just started dance lessons, I totally have every intention of doing this for her when she grows out of the shoes. So sweet! Over at Martha Stewart.

If the upcoming Halloween holiday has you wanting to make a wreath, but you need some ideas, go check here at 36th Avenue. There’s 20! Need more ideas? How about my Halloween Pin board (176 pins and counting), or my Wreath pin board (62 pins and counting). TONS of ideas!

Have you seen Snow White and the Huntsman? I haven’t. I wanted to, mainly because of Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. But I did not want to because of Kristen Stewart. I have big issues with her. Sorry if that makes you hate me. But, SNAP! blog  did a fun way to celebrate the movie coming out. Can someone tell me why it’s not at Redbox yet? Annoying!

This will be a fun thing for preschool this Halloween with my kids. It’s the kid’s name written in cursive on a folded paper, then cut out and opened up. Over here.

Speaking of Halloween, have you been following along with Eighteen 25’s Spooktacular September? It’s so fun! There’s tons of ideas, like this Halloween Countdown, or this glitter slime, or this fun googly eye garland.

I need to move this over to my tried and true board, because this was so yummy. My hubby and I just kept snacking on them while the rest of dinner cooked. So good! Bloomin Zucchini sticks over at King Arthur’s Flour.

What fun things did you pin/do this week? How about next week we’ll have a link party so you can show off? Sound good? Have a great weekend!
