What I Wore Sunday: Week 8

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

I hope you don’t get PINCHED!!  :)

…unless you like that sort of thing, then I hope you get lots of pinches!

On to What I Wore Sunday and last week’s party features…

…52 weeks of shaking up the wardrobe…

The Rules:

  1. Wear a different outfit every Sunday.

  2. Incorporate at least one article of clothing or accessory that was either refashioned, sewn myself, or handmade.

  3. Outfits can be worn more than once; just not the same way.

  4. Think outside the box and be creative!

This is what I wore Sunday:

week 8

I bought the skirt off of the clearance rack.  It is a black wrap-around skirt.  It was a size XXL, and I took it in to a medium.  I also made the watch.

It’s big and chunky, but it’s fun, too.  It kinda makes me feel like Wilma Flintstone!  :)

I’m going to be honest; this outfit wasn’t my favorite.  It was really comfortable, but I felt like it was kinda old-ladyish.  I don’t think I’ll be wearing this ensemble again.

Last week’s party was a lot of fun, wasn’t it?!  Here are a few features.

Zig Zagged Sunshine from Gate No. 4 is my favorite.

I {heart} yellow.  This little lady’s mama found a yellow dress, grey sweater, and flowers at Goodwill and refashioned it into this adorable little birthday outfit.  Love it!  I hope you had a fabulous fourth birthday, Pretty Girl!  :)

Ash’s favorite from the party was the Lace Top from Sew, Cook, Laugh and Live.

Jos made this cute top without a pattern.  You can, too!  Click on over and check out her tutorial!  I’m thinking I need to buy some lace ASAP.  I could do a lot with that for What I Wore Sunday!  Way to go, Jos!  :)

Baby Gap Knock Off Skirt from The Turquoise Piano was the most viewed link.

Seriously.  How adorable is that?!  Kelli saw a skirt similar to this at Baby Gap, and tried a knock-off version.  She did an awesome job, didn’t she?!  And that little girl?  So so precious!  :)

Thanks so much to everyone who partied with us!  I wish I could feature every.single.one of you.  I checked them all out and we’re following all of your blogs.  It’s so fun to make new friends!  You are all so very talented and we look forward to getting to know all of you better!  Let’s party again next week with all of our upcycled, repurposed,  handmade outfits, m’kay?!
