Before I get to What I Wore Sunday, I’ve got a shining “Mommy Moment” to tell you about. Remember my post about how to make a cape from a tee shirt?
Remember how I said I was going to make some for my boys for Christmas?
Well, I had that post up on the computer and left for a minute to go answer the door. While I was at the door, Deege sat at the computer and read the entire post. He is very excited to get a cape for Christmas.
Aaaarrrrggghhh!!! It was supposed to be a surprise!!
Oh well. I’m still going to do it, and I’ve sworn Deege to secrecy. I just hope he’ll keep the secret.
Okay. On to What I Wore Sunday…
…52 weeks of shaking up the wardrobe…
The Rules:
-
Wear a different outfit every Sunday.
-
Incorporate at least one article of clothing or accessory that was either refashioned, sewn myself, or handmade.
-
Outfits can be worn more than once; just not the same way.
This is what I wore on Sunday:
Ugh. I hate seeing pictures of myself. Anyway, this is a skirt I recently wore at a wedding as a bridesmaid. The skirt was too big, so I took it in at the side seams. Kinda tricky, since there was a zipper there, and all. But, I like how it turned out. White makes me nervous, though. I mean, I’ve got five boys and one of them is two. I really don’t think this skirt will stay white! :)
There were so many fun things linked up at last week’s party. Thanks so much to everyone who linked up.
Check out this adorable little Halloween pillowcase dress over at Gingerly Made:
She also made a ghost dress. I just love them. So fun, and so so cute! :)
These Thanksgiving turkey shirts from Shy By Design are so much fun.
This template is free, and she gives a few different ideas for the template. It’s not just for shirts. But, seriously? How cute would your little one look in a turkey shirt?
I love this bag Fifi from About Blogging Time made:
She used batting instead of interfacing and loves the squishiness of her new bag. I love the colors. So cute!
What did you wear? What have you and your sewing machine been up to?!
Link up to anything you have refashioned or sewn yourself. It doesn’t have to be dressy, and it doesn’t have to be worn on a Sunday. It doesn’t even have to be worn by you. Show it off!
