Do Over Moment

If you were given the opportunity, what would you do over?  How would you do it differently?  Or are you one of those people who does everything right the first time?

Of course, Ashlee and I have had a lot of crafting fails that we would do over, and lots that we probably have.

I’m sure we all have those moments where we didn’t handle a stressful situation with all the grace that we should have.  Maybe that’s just me, too!

But, if I were given one opportunity to do one thing over again, it would be my wedding.

Don’t get me wrong, it was the best day of my life, and my ultimate goal--to begin journey together as husband and wife, eternal companions, best friends, and all that other mushy lovey dovey stuff--was all that mattered.  Mission accomplished.  But what would I do over?!

This, my friends, is the ONLY decent picture we have of the two of us on our wedding day.

Gah!  We were so young!  And I was so skinny!  That dress is a size 2, and will never, ever fit again.  That’s okay, though.  I won’t ever need it again!  ;)

Back to the picture.  Back to the wedding.  Back to the do over…

If I could do it over, I would have hired a professional photographer.  I so wish we had better pictures, and not just snapshots from our wedding guests.  I mean, this was in the pre-digital camera era, but still…I wish I had better pictures.

This was a momentous occasion.  It was the first day of our life together.  This is when our family began, and this is the only decent picture I have to show for it.  Sadness…

If I were given the opportunity to go back and do this day over again, I would have enjoyed it more, and not stressed over the little details.

I also would have listened to the advice given to us before we were married.  I don’t remember a word of it.  Hubby’s grandpa was the one who married us, and that was so special.  I just wish I could remember what he said!  :)

What is your “do over” moment?
